Katsushika Hokusai: Soshu Shichiri-ga-hama. Fugaku sanjurokkei. 1830/31. [Original-Farbholzschnitt / colour woodcut.] (Katsushika Hokusai, vermutlich geb. am 31.10.1760 in Warigesui, Honjo, östliches Edo/Kreis Katsushika, Provinz Musashi (heute: Sumida, Tokio), gest. 10.05.1849 in Henjoin, Shoten-cho, Asakusa, japanischer Maler und einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des Ukiyo-e-Genres).

Original-Farbholzschnitt von Katsushika Hokusai auf Japanpapier (oban, yoko-e), „Sieben-Meilen-Strand in der Provinz Sagami“ (Soshu Shichiri-ga-hama), aus der Serie „36 Ansichten des Berg Fuji“ (Fugaku sanjurokkei). Sehr später Druckzustand. Ukiyo-e shuka 16 (1981), S. 229, Nr. 18.24. Signiert: Saki no Hokusai litsu hitsu. Ohne Verleger- oder Zensurstempel. Maße Blatt: 25,2 x 36,8 cm. Hier der rechte untere Bildbereich keilförmig mit neuerem Papier komplett ersetzt, restauriert, das Motiv mit Farbe und Pinsel bildgetreu ergänzt (ca. 13 cm in der Höhe x 1,5 bis 6 cm in der Breite). Die grün und blau gedruckten Bereiche der Pflanzen nicht mehr farbgetreu. Blattränder leicht fingerfleckig/staubfleckig, linker Blattrand mit braunem feinen Abdruck (produktionsbedingt?) und allgemein mit vereinzelten winzigen braunen Fleckchen. Blatt rückseitig in der oberen Mitte und in der oberen linken Ecke jeweils mit kleinem Rest von weißem Klebeband aus früherer Montage (ca. 0,4 x 0,7 cm und 1,0 x 1,2 cm, letzteres teils abgelöst), rückseitig mit einer kleinen japanischen Randnotiz mit Bleistift. Original colour woodcut by Katsushika Hokusai on Japanese paper (oban, yoko-e), „Shihirigahama in Sagami Province“ (Soshu Shichiri-ga-hama), from the series „36 views of the Mt. Fuji“ (Fugaku sanjurokkei). Very late print. Ukiyo-e shuka 16 (1981), p. 229, no. 18.24. Signed: Saki no Hokusai litsu hitsu. Without publisher seal or censor seal. Sheet size: 25,2 x 36,8 cm. Here the lower right area of the sheet completely exchanged with newer paper, restaured, in a wedge-shape, the picture complemented with brush and colour in that area following the original composition and style (appr. 13 cm in height, width between 1.5 and 6 cm). The areas of the printed plants in green and blue faded and not identical with their former brilliance. Sheet lightly fingerstained/dusty at the outer margins, left margin of the sheet with a brown thin pressure mark (productionwise?) and overall with some single tiny brown spots. Sheet on the backside at the upper middle and at the upper left corner each with one piece of white wet adhesive tape from former mounting (appr. 0.4 x 0.7 cm and 1.0 x 1.2 cm, the latter partly detached), backside with one small handwritten note in Japanese.
