Einband vorwiegend an den Kanten etwas berieben und am Rücken etwas gebräunt, am oberen Kapital mit zwei kleinen Einrissen (ca. 0,5 cm), Seiten durchweg etwas stockfleckig (die Farbabbildungen selbst davon nicht betroffen), ansonsten gutes Exemplar mit schön erhaltenen Farbillustrationen.
Original half-cloth binding with mounted cover label and illustrated endpapers. Number 424 of 675 copies hand-numbered in pencil. English language edition. Sinkankas 5559. With 10 mounted coulour illustrations (including frontispiece) by Edmund Dulac. Bookplate by Geoffrey P. Shakerley. Cover slightly rubbed (mainly at the edges) and spine a bit darkened, upper spine with two small tears (approx. 0.5 cm), pages throughout slightly foxed (the colour illustrations themselves are not affected by this), otherwise a good copy with beautifully preserved colour illustrations.
