Neuausgabe. Gumuchian I, 1930. Englischsprachige Ausgabe. Durchweg illustriert mit ganzseitigen Farbholzstichen nach Walter Crane durch Edmund Evans und integrierten Versen. Die Blätter sind einseitig bedruckt. Die Ausgabe knüpft an die erstmals 1873-1874 bei George Routledge & Sons erschienenen Toybooks an und übernimmt deren charakteristische Drucktechnik. Einband gering berieben und minimal stockfleckig. Bindung stellenweise minimal gelockert. In den Stegen zum Teil leicht fleckig. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar mit Farbholzstichen in schönen kräftigen Abdrucken.
Original cloth binding with cover illustration and illustrated endpapers. New edition. Gumuchian 1930. English-language edition. Illustrated throughout with full-page colour wood engravings after designs by Walter Crane, printed by Edmund Evans, and accompanied by integrated verses. The leaves are printed on one side only. This edition follows the celebrated Toy Books first published by George Routledge & Sons between 1873 and 1874 and retains their characteristic printing technique. Binding slightly rubbed and minimally foxed. Binding occasionally a little loose. Inner margins partly lightly stained. A near fine copy, the colour wood engravings preserved in fine, strong impressions.
