Mit 6 Tafeln in Holzschnitt, Lithografie und Kupferstich, davon 4 gefaltet, und einem Verzeichnis der Schmuckgegenstände des Dreikönigschreins nach Vogel und vielen weiteren Verzeichnissen zur künstlerischen Ausstattung des Doms. Einband berieben, Außengelenke über die ganze Länge auf- bzw. angeplatzt. Vorsätze leimschattig, hinteres fliegendes Blatt im Falz eingerissen. Seiten und Tafeln leicht bis vereinzelt mäßig stockfleckig, Kopfsteg der ersten 10 Seiten etwa mit blassem Wasserrand ohne Textberührung, die letzten Blätter mit blassen Wasserflecken (Textberührung, aber ohne Verlust). Ansichtstafel des Kölner Doms mit privat hinterlegtem Randeinriss (ca. 3 cm, davon ca. 1,5 cm mit Bildberührung). Gutes Exemplar.
Half-leather binding of the time with gilt-tooled spine title, marbled paper-covered boards, and marbled edges. First edition. With 6 plates in woodcut, lithography, and engraving, 4 of them folding, as well as a list of the decorative objects of the Shrine of the Three Kings according to Vogel and numerous further lists relating to the cathedral’s artistic furnishings. Binding rubbed; the outer hinges split or cracked along their entire length. Endpapers with adhesive staining; the rear free endpaper split at the fold. Pages and plates lightly to occasionally moderately foxed. The upper margin of the first 10 pages with a pale water stain, not affecting the text. The final leaves with pale water stains, touching the text but without loss. View of Cologne Cathedral with a privately repaired marginal tear measuring approximately 3 cm, of which about 1.5 cm touches the image. Good copy.
