Seiten zum Teil unaufgeschnitten, zum Teil rauer Schnitt. Einband leicht und nur blass stockfleckig, Vorsätze leicht gebräunt, ansonsten sehr gutes Exemplar. First edition. English edition. Original half vellum binding with gilt embossed title on spine and gilt top edge. With frontispiece (portrait of Gravelot) and allegorical title page as well as 19 further heliogravures on plates. Untrimmed. Binding only with light and scarce foxing, endpapers a little darkened, otherwise fine copy.
